  • What do I do if I see a crime or citation in progress?

Call the Pasco Sheriffs Office – Non Emergency (813) 929-1204; Emergency 911

*After you have contacted the Sheriffs Office, contact Barbara Tarpey of the Crime Watch. 

  • Resident or persons with concerns of speeding on Oak Grove Blvd and/or any other road in or around Oak Grove, please contact Oak Grove's Cooperative Community Officer, Travis Gondek stating the times (a.m./p.m.) speeding is sighted and any further information helpful, including make, color, model of vehicle, etc if repetitive speeding is witnessed.

 

  • To become a Crime Watch member, contact President Barbara Tarpey.  She will provide you the below information to get an official member ID.

When approved, you will have to go to the Sheriff's Office to have your picture taken for your ID.  There is a charge of $2.00

Once an ID card has been issued, you will be scheduled to patrol with an experienced team member.

Support Your Crime Watch

 The Crime Watch provides monthly newsletters to the residents of Oak Grove communicating information obtained through various public safety resources. The sponsor fees our organization requests are solely to pay for printing costs. We do not profit from our sponsors; yet, merely provide for continuous communication to our community residents about crime prevention and other related matters.  To read our monthly newsletter publications, click on the desired month:

Annually, our newsletter will include the opportunity to support your Oak Grove Crime Watch. A donation card is provided with optional donation amounts including $5, $10, $15 or “other” along with a self-addressed envelope. Residents and supporters are requested to return donation cards in the self-address envelope provided no later than 30 days from the delivery of the newsletter.  However, donations are welcomed at any time throughout the year. With supporting donations, the Crime Watch is able to purchase safety equipment such as patrol lights, signs, radios, flashlights, and other equipment. The Oak Grove Crime Watch relies solely on the support of the community through means of monetary donations and community involvement. Please help support the Crime Watch’s mission to keep “Crime” down, especially during the times when school is out. Keep your eyes and ears open and report any suspicious activities to the local Sheriffs office and then to the Crime Watch.

Help to keep Oak Grove a safe and pleasant place to Live, Work and Play.

 Drivers now required to "Move Over"

It is a law that was passed July 1, 2002, that now requires that you either switch lanes or reduce your speed to 20 mph below the posted speed limit if an Emergency Vehicle has it's lights on.
